If you own an NFT validator node, you're part of an important piece of the GUNZ ecosystem. Validators help decode loot containers (HEXes) and mint in-game items, earning rewards in $GUN along the way. They also play a crucial role in maintaining the health and security of the entire network.
In this article, you’ll find answers to common questions like why your node might not be showing up yet, what to do if it’s not decoding anything, how to activate it, and how validator rarity can influence your node’s chances of decoding.
This should help you get started and solve some of your questions:
Why aren’t my nodes on Mainnet?
You’re a proud owner of one (or more) NFT validator nodes, and the transition to Mainnet is happening, but you don’t have your Mainnet node yet. Why is this happening? It could be due to one of the following reasons:
- If you are a direct buyer with agreement: We’ve contacted everyone in this category to confirm their wallet address. If you haven’t replied yet, you won’t have received your NFT. Please check your inbox carefully, including your spam or junk folder.
- If you are a promotion winner: We reached out to all winners to collect their Mainnet wallet addresses. If you haven’t responded, be sure to do so in order to receive your NFT.
Can I use my testnet node on Mainnet?
No, that's not possible. TestNet nodes cannot be used on Mainnet. You will need a Mainnet node instead.
Why isn’t my node decoding anything?
Everything is working as expected. If you've noticed low activity, keep in mind that most OTG players have not migrated to Mainnet yet. Validator rewards are paid by players and directly depend on the number of active players on the Mainnet. This is likely why your node hasn't been decoding much yet. As more players join Mainnet and mint items, activity will increase, and your NFT validator node will become more active too.
Also, the rarity of your Validator NFT plays a role. Each validator has a different level of hashpower based on its rarity, which affects its chances of being selected to decode a HEX. Validators with higher rarity (and more locked GUN) have greater hashpower and are more likely to be chosen, which can lead to more frequent decoding activity and rewards.
You can read more about how validators work, hashpower, and the role of rarity in our Whitepaper.
How can I activate my node on Mainnet?
To activate your node and start receiving rewards in MainNet $GUN:
-
Connect the wallet that holds your NFTs
-
Open the Private Dashboard tab. You’ll find your NFTs listed at the bottom of the page
-
Select your NFT and use the buttons in the top-right corner of the list to activate or transfer your NFTs
Important:
- You’ll need a small amount of $GUN in your wallet to cover gas fees (less than 0.001 $GUN per transaction). You can buy $GUN on Binance and other exchanges, then withdraw it to your wallet on the GUNZ chain. Please, make sure you are buying $GUN coins on GUNZ Chain, not C-Chain or others. You can check the full list of supported exchanges on CoinMarketCap.
-
NFTs must be inactive before they can be transferred.
